A family business
Kindred is run by five brothers and our family. The people you meet at the first specification meeting are the people who see the last delivery onto site.
We grew up around our family's sawmill, alongside our father and grandfather. Since then we've spent years buying and supplying prefinished timber for architects, designers and builders.
Through Forté, our New Zealand sister company, we've supplied lodges, hotels and residential developments across New Zealand and Australia. Kindred uses those mills and that team to supply large projects overseas.
The name
The name comes from “of the same kind”, which is the point of the business: the floor, panelling, doors and joinery should look like they were cut from one log.
