Privacy
What we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Who we are
Kindred Timber is part of Innovate Group, based in Auckland, New Zealand. This page explains what we do with the details you send us. We follow the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
What we collect
Only what you send us through the brief form or by email: your name, company, email address, project location, type, size and timing, your notes and any links, any files you attach such as floor plans and finish schedules, and how you found us. If you ask for samples, we also need a delivery address.
Why we collect it
To reply to you, prepare quotes, send samples and supply your project. We don't add you to a mailing list unless you ask, and we never sell or rent your details.
Who sees it
Our team. The brief form, and any files attached to it, is delivered to our inbox by FormSubmit, a form service, which doesn't keep attached files after delivering them. We send you a confirmation email through Resend, an email delivery service. When we need to, we share project details with our mills to prepare quotes, and with couriers and freight companies to deliver samples and orders.
If your project is in New Zealand or Australia, we may pass your enquiry to another Innovate Group company that looks after projects there.
Where it's stored
Your details may be stored or processed outside New Zealand, by the services that deliver our form, host our website and hold our email. We use providers that protect personal information to a standard comparable to New Zealand's.
Website visits
We count page visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which doesn't use cookies or identify you. Our fonts load from Google Fonts, so Google receives a standard request from your browser.
How long we keep it
For as long as we need it to deal with your enquiry or project, and any records we must keep by law. After that, we delete it.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. Send the request through our contact form and we'll reply within 20 working days.
If you're not happy with how we've handled it, you can contact the New Zealand Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
Changes
We'll update this page if anything changes. Last updated 20 October 2026.
